This is the 73nd edition of the 2020 Guide Book of United States Coins. First published in 1947, this guide has been published annually since 1947. This reference guide is the #1 price guide for U.S. Coins. This new 73nd edition has 464 beautiful color glossy coated pages. Coins are priced in up to 9 different grades, and, since a coin's condition greatly affects it's value, there is a grading section to help you estimate the condition of your coins. There is also a 35 page "historical" section, located at the beginning of the book, detailing the most important historical information about U.S. coins.
The author of this book is R. S. Yeoman, and the book has been edited by Kenneth Bressett. Research and values were edited by legendary numismatists Q. David Bowers and Jeff Garrett. The book contains thousands and thousands of beautiful color photographs, including close-ups of important and valuable varieties (see pictures #8-10 in our photo gallery which shows this feature).
Coins are listed from the very earliest colonial coins, includes all special "commemorative" coin issues, all annual proof and mint sets, and continues up through the most current bullion coins. There is a 74 page section at the back of the book that list prices of pattern coins, important privately minted coins, Confederate coins, Hawaiian, Puerto Rican, Alaskan, and Phillipine coins, prices of mint error coins, values for collectible past issues of the "Red Books", auction prices, a glossary of terms, etc.
